Alcario Otero, a renowned Santero from New Mexico, has been a prominent figure in the art world since being juried into Spanish Market in 1990. His accolades include the prestigious Best of Show/Grand Prize Award and the Gerald Peters Award at the 1995 Spanish Market, as well as First Place Bulto Awards in both 1993 and 1995. Notably, one of his bultos was presented to Pope John Paul II, highlighting the global recognition of his artistry.
